In the maritime setting of Marina de Cala d 'Or, La Scala was born 12 years ago, a different kind of italian restaurant, exclusive and innovative.

Using only the finest quality ingredients and valueing the consumption of local produce, our master chefs create a taste of sophistication under the philosophy of Slow Food. For this reason our menu changes to reflect the produce of the season.

Each of our deshes is the result of a conscious and careful process; works of art to be enjoyed with all the senses.

Also for the ears, one day of each week, our dinners are accompanied by live music.

Enjoy our friendly facilities and our beautiful open-air terraces with superb views in a relaxed atmosphere.

History

Giovanni and Antonio lead the management of La Scala

They began as employees in this restaurant, have managed to finally realize his dream of taking the reins and become its owners.

The sincere friendship that has always united, translated into complicity and confidence allows them to enjoy as few of their work. Both have worked in various parts of the world and of course in Italy.

Giovanni, an expert on wines, is an excellent advisor at the time of their choice, plus a friendly and professional waiter, making dinner a beautiful memory for all customers.

Antonio, with his love of the kitchen, has preferred, in the last recent years, to spend his holidays to make culinary experience one of the world's most famous restaurant Mugaritz as of Gizpuoka (Basque Country) with the chef Andoni Aduriz Louis, thereby providing La Scala culinary innovation and creativity without losing their Italian roots.

Together, learning from a daily experience and the great masters such as Ferran Adrià, which have adopted three basic pillars: the frequent use of the season and area's produce, the use of a careful, professional and excellent technique, with a full knowledge of culinary bases, and a thorough investigation, which as well as creating dishees it seeks to get them into a “raison d'être”, not just mixing ingredients for itself but trying to give them a real sense
